RegNet AI series – sustainability and investment with Gordon Noble
Presented by 91ÊÓƵCollege of Law, Governance & Policy
In session two of the RegNet AI Series, Gordon Noble will share insights on sustainability issues related to AI, including energy and water use, as well as discussing investment implications.
Investment, development and use of AI has skyrocketed in recent years, including uptake by academia in various ways—across teaching, research, and writing. This creep of AI into the everyday and into our work practice comes with various costs.
In this second session of the RegNet AI Series, Gordon Noble will delve into the sustainability and investment implications of AI, prompting us to think about how this rapidly evolving technology intersects with our research or professional fields.

Image description: A red-toned illustration shows a man's head surrounded by swirling AI icons, with small, mischievous witch-like figures flying around him. The man's expression appears disoriented and fatigued, symbolizing the mental overload caused by the overwhelming flood of AI tools and news. The witches represent the chaotic, cackling nature of rapid AI developments, adding to the sense of dizziness and confusion.
